Description
The Suzuki Engine Interface Cable 990C0-88149-357 is a genuine OEM cable designed to connect your Suzuki outboard motor to NMEA 2000® compatible displays. This interface cable provides real-time engine data such as RPM, fuel flow, temperature, and trim position directly to your chartplotter or multifunction display. Built to Suzuki’s factory standards, it ensures accurate communication, easy installation, and reliable performance. Ideal for boaters who want precise engine monitoring and integration with their onboard electronics.
What Is the Suzuki Engine Interface Cable?
The Suzuki Engine Interface Cable (part 990C0-88149-357) is a genuine OEM accessory that connects your Suzuki outboard engine’s internal data bus to a NMEA 2000 network backbone. This allows compatible multifunction displays (MFDs) and chartplotters to read live engine data directly from your outboard; no separate sensor installation required.
It is the factory-approved solution for integrating Suzuki engine telematics with modern marine electronics. Boat Max Online is an authorized Suzuki Marine dealer, guaranteeing a genuine OEM part, not a third-party replica.

Installation Overview
11. Locate the NMEA 2000 backbone on your vessel (or install a new backbone with a T-connector starter kit).
12. Connect the engine end of the cable to the Suzuki outboard’s engine data port (refer to your engine service manual for port location by model year).
13. Connect the NMEA 2000 end to the backbone using a standard M12 5-pin drop cable or T-connector.
14. Power on the NMEA 2000 network and your MFD.
15. Navigate to the engine data/instruments screen on your display; engine data should populate automatically.
16. For multi-engine setups, each engine requires its own interface cable and unique NMEA 2000 instance address.
