New for 2013 the 14sr has been completely redesigned and is sure to be a favorite of larger groups as well as police and fire departments alike. The 14sr is a rugged boat that can carry up to seven adults and gear. Able to accomodate up to a 40 hp engine, this boat can really move. The 7″ inflatable, external keel allows it to cut through chop with ease and the New Design has increased buoyancy, fuel efficiency, cargo space and makes for a softer ride. Fiberglass Reinforced Transom Most inexpensive competitors have painted plywood transoms. A coat of paint or two might cover up the wood, but no paint job can keep out water for long. In a few years a painted plywood transom will just rot away. The transom is the most crictical structural part of a boat – it must carry the weight and thrust of a heavy outboard motor over bouncing chop.
