The piston ring has four functions: seal for combustion gas, control lubricating oil (engine oil), heat conduction function, and piston attitude support. The piston ring is a component necessary for an engine to function properly between the piston and cylinder. The purpose is to transfer heat from the heated piston into the cooling cylinder wall or block while maintaining the airtightness between the cylinder wall and the piston inside the cylinder.
