Securing your boat in high wake docking areas has been made less difficult and more cost-effective thanks to the BoatGuard mooring whip system by Taylor Made Products. Boatersland Discount Marine Supplies has the BoatGuard 14-foot mooring whip (product number TAY99081) at a very wallet-friendly price. The 14-foot mooring whip is specifically designed for boats up to 25-feet in length and under 10,000 pounds. The base for this unit is injection molded from high impact reinforced plastic. Installing the base is a straight-forward task. After securing the boat in a convenient location, you will place the front end of the base approximately two to four inches from the edge of the dock across from the bow and stern deck cleats. The next step is marking the location of the holes that will be drilled in the dock. You will use the two bases as templates. When positioned correctly, the bases will hold the poles perpendicular to the boat. After drilling the holes and securing the bases, you will thread the whip lines through the rollers. Next, you will insert the whip poles into the base units. These are positioned by rotating them so the roller tip is in line with the deck cleats. After setting the dock lines and whip lines, your boat will be secured. |
